Our story

Built by a runner who was tired of running alone.

I ran my first marathon in 2018. Seven marathons and thousands of solo kilometres later, I finally started a run club in 2023, and it changed everything.

Running with a group pushed me further than I’d ever gone alone. It kept me accountable on the days I didn’t feel like it, and it made every single run more fun.

I wanted every runner to have that, whatever their pace or goal. That’s why I built PacePal, launched in 2025, to help you find runners who match your pace and share your goals.

Because the best runs are rarely the ones you do alone.

— Michael, Founder

Our mission

To make running alone a choice, not the only option, so that every runner, whatever their ability, can find people to run with.
